I was raised around seniors all my life visiting nursing homes my mom worked at and volunteering. After closing my personal care business I wanted to do work to make a difference. I became a caregiver and can truly say I love what I do. My clients are like family to me and it gives me great joy to help them with all of their needs. I go above and beyond at all times providing support, kindness and excellent care. In addition to my work as a caregiver I often volunteer at my mothers senior community helping her neighbors with whatever they may need. I consider them family and love to give back to the community.

My initial interest in caregiving began when I started caring for my Grandmother who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1987. I saw the difference it made in her life to have someone available and willing to help her with the things that most of us are able to take care of ourselves. We take for granted every day that we are healthy and able to perform these tasks. It is a blessing to have someone who is available to help us with these things when we are no longer able to do them. In my time as a caregiver, I feel that I have seen and helped with everything from the most basic needs to the most complex. There isn't much that scares me. I am easily able to let difficulties with even the most challenging clients slide right off my back. I have thick skin and I am not easily offended. When I accepted the position with Visiting Angels (my correct employer) back in 2011, not only was I able to supervise a crew of approximately 65 caregivers but I had the opportunity to occasionally assist with filling in for those caregivers in the event of an emergency. Since moving here to Florida in late 2015 I have not had the opportunity to work directly with clients since my work now is mostly computer and phone related supervisory duties, remotely from home. I miss the hands on care and the one on one relationships that are formed when caregiving. I am very interested in helping to supplement my income while making a difference in someone else's life.

Good Morning. My name is Tamara Gossett. I have been an active CNA for 21 years and Med Tech for 15 years. I have been caring for people since I was younger. I grew up helping take care of my older family members. I love being a CNA. I get joy in knowing that I can provide great care for others in need. I take pride in the work I do. I know that at the end of my day I have did my job to the best of my ability and provided quality care. I enjoy the interaction I can have with my clients. I have met a lot of different people, I have heard wonderful, happy, silly, sad, and amazing stories from my clients. Being a CNA is not just a job for me but it is my career.

I have been a nurse for 10 years. I am currently working in an administrative position within a doctor's office. I love my job but I miss being a "hands-on" nurse. I began my career as a nurse aid in an assisted living facility and I immediately knew that I had found my calling. I have a true passion for helping others. Providing hands-on assistance is rewarding, but getting to know my clients and work to improve their situation or outlook is what I strive to do. Whether it's through preparing meals, cleaning house, assisting with bathing and grooming, running errands, or just spending time bonding with my client I strive to make my visit something that they look forward to. Those that know me say that I have a servant's heart. I spend my time at my full time job looking for ways to improve care. I spend my time off with my family or volunteering/ fundraising for nonprofits. I pride myself on my love for others and treat everyone as if they are my family.

Passionate about quality and caring home care for those in need and desiring to remain in familiar surroundings during their golden years. I currently care for two patients, husband and wife. One with physical and neurological disorders, total care. The other a post surgical, dementia-memory care patient. My start date with a new client is flexible. I am an amateur chef. My interests include first and foremost family, then genealogy, history, reading, journaling, gardening and non-political current events. I cared for my mother in home during the last six of her 94 years. She suffered with dementia, diabetes (insulin dependent), arthritis, incontinence and mobility issues. She wanted to spend her last days in her own home for which I am very thankful I was able to be instrumental in granting her wish. I have spent 30+ years, off and on, in the health care industry in positions of nurse aide and home health care aide. I value life and respect end of life wishes. I hope that as I age that I will have the respect, care, empathy and loving commitment to my care as I provide to my patients.
