I started in healthcare at age 17 in a local nursing home close to where I lived. I have always known that caring for others is my calling. Giving back to the elderly has brought me so much joy in my life. Helping the elderly in care provides so many opportunities to change a life. What I like most about being a caregiver is that it gives them a chance to wake up to a new day with new abilities to do new achievements with your life.. My top achievement was a client who had parkinson's disease and at the start of our sessions she had very minimum movement of her left leg, within a 3 month period she/client had full mobility of both legs and could walk on her own. Her excitement is why I do what I do.
