I am 58 years old. I have been a CNA for more than twenty years. I love my job as a caregiver. I became a caregiver when I was 16 years old working in A nursing home. I like being able to help others. It is rewarding and satisfying to learn about others and know that in your work you can make a Positive difference in your clients life. I respect and provide thorough and responsive hands on care . Necessary to maximize care , and safety with in the scope of my Certification to my clients. I Wanted to improve my knowledge of health care. So I took a Medical Assistant class at MedVance Institute and Graduated with a 4.0 grade average. I lost my Husband in 1994, My sons were teenagers, I raised two wonderful sons while working as a private duty care giver.

I love to take care and help people! I grew up with my own disabilities so I know how important it is to have someone who is able to help out when things are tough. I treat all of my patients with love and care and respect because I expect to be treated just the same! I put myself in my patients shoes and ask myself what would I do if it were me?

I am passionate about what I do! I love being able to help someone continue to live a happy, fulfilled life in the comfort of their home environment. I am an honest, compassionate, caring, make things happen kind of person who is not afraid of getting my hands dirty and working hard. I enjoy spending time with older adults and making them feel special, loved and wanted in spite of their declining or problematic health. I've been around and experienced many different health issues and am well versed in dealing with Drs. and being able to navigate their findings and instructions. But, at the same time, am not afraid to admit when something isn't clear to me while be willing to help find answers. I am honored to be offered the opportunity to help clients and their families. I feel that I'm also able to provide wonderful support in the event that the client and family are dealing with the difficult transition period that comes towards the end of one's life. I am particularly proud of the fact that I am always learning and am able to fit in to any circumstance and get along with everyone that I have the pleasure of working with....

I have been a caregiver for over 10 years first in the caring of elderly family members and for the last few years with an agency. I really enjoy and appreciate the family's I have worked with and get great satisfaction in improving there everyday care. I have taken several medical related college courses and CPR certified.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interactions with others. I have recently had to step-up to care for my aging mother and would like to help others in this way. I love older adults and feel that I can get along with a variety of elders.
