The process of choosing a caregiver is somewhat challenging so here is some about me : Getting to work with families has become a joy for me - My father was ill and I helped him in the last weeks of his life and found fulfillment in helping him when He couldn't help himself. I am a mom of 3 kids one of which is special needs. Caregiving and skilled nursing is something I am very passionate about. I have worked in nursing homes and don't feel like the patients/residents get the care or compassion they deserve. I will let my patient/client be as dependent as they can and be there to help with what ever is needed.

Being a caregiver is all I've ever known! I have a special needs son that is now 17 and thriving as best he can and my father was hit by a drunk driver that severed his spinal cord leaving him without the use of his legs. Being a caregiver is something that I feel God choose me for. It's my gift!

I have been in home healthcare for over 20 years. I love being in home health care and being able to help patients enjoy their life. I became a caregiver to help make a difference in patient lives. I am skilled in a variety of care, including transfers, bathing dressing, med, reminders, total care, dementia, insulin injections, and a variety of other skills. My patients have ranged from quadriplegics to dementia patients. Caring for, listening, and helping my patients brings a lot of joy to my life to be able to see them smile and laugh fills my heart.

I think I'm a great caregiver because I genuinely care about others. I treat people the way I want myself or my family members treated. I have enjoyed a 32 year career as a Respiratory Therapist primarily with children in a hospital setting, but being a caregiver doesn't have age restrictions! I am now an active empty nester and am looking to continue caring for others outside of the hospital setting in a little more flexible way. :)
