8 caregivers with Post Surgery Recovery experience found near Bassett
The process of post-surgery recovery may involve changes in one mobility, diet, and mood. In some cases, individuals only need pain medication and a few weeks rest, but in others, recovery can be quite extensive and require physical, occupational, and nutritional therapy. The recovery plan may require adminstration of dietary supplements/digestive aids and time spent outdoors, and surgical incision care from skilled professionals. Along with these postoperative care concerns, the caregiver will need to assist the patient with daily activities and errands while he or she takes time to recover.

I am a married mother of two, a 7 year old daughter & a 4 year old son. I went to college and received my Associates Degree in Nursing graduating in 2007. I have always been a very outgoing, compassionate natural nurturer. I have taken care of many family members while recovering from surgery, stroke, heart attack, cancer and even those that were terminally ill and cared for them up until their passing. I also worked in a nursing home for several months while attending college, the hours did not work with my schedule at the time, so I found a retail banking job while in school. I am currently not in the medical field and changed my career in 2008, and have been with the same employer since. I enjoy taking care of others and learning from someone else. While I worked in the nursing home, I became close with several of the residents and their families because I genuinely cared for them. I would often go by when it wasn't my shift and even after I had left the nursing home for employment. Although I get to do plenty of caregiving at home with my children, I miss working with the elderly and learning so much about our history and how things used to be. I am looking to do something I love while earning extra income for my family. I am available on Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 7 or during the day on Saturday & Sunday.
I am a nurse aid, about to take my CNA certification test this month. I currently work for Home Instead Senior Care. I provide both personal care and companion care. I have additional training in caring for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients and most of the clients I currently care for have this. I also have additional certifications in Arthritis care, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) care, and shower safety training. I have a bright, bubbly, uplifting personality. I love to care for others. I always treat my patients with the same respect and care that I would my own grandparents. I am willing to work around other's schedules, and can accommodate special and unique needs. I get along well with family members and children, I also love animals. I have my own transportation and am prompt. I always try to go the extra mile to better the lives of others.
I enjoy what I do love helping others. Im a caring person. I've done other jobs but they just didn't seen meaningful. Guess with me I get to attached with my patients.
I love helping others; I love putting a smile on their face. Making them feel special and loved plus making sure they know they are not alone that someone does care...
As a mother and wife it's what we do but when my husband got sick and I almost lost him caring for him 24/7 became a full time task. He had to learn how to eat, talk, walk everything all over. Once he was well enough I had to go back and be the money maker so I started my own business as a Personal Care Assistant PCA.
I believe I have great personality traits for the job. I'm very patience and compassionate to others. I'm dependable and trustworthy and alert to things going on.
I've always been interested in taking care of someone else's needs and wants and I've always wanted to be there for others.
The most I enjoy about being a caregiver is putting others before myself and taking care of others.
A personal achievement I'm proud of is ever since I was young I've wanted to become a health care provider and I've always wanted to start at the bottom and work my way up to become a Registered Nurse and so far I've gained my Certified Nursing Assistant license and then I plan to attend college in the near future for my Registered Nursing license.
I became a caregiver due to my mother-in-laws decline in health and ability to take care of herself. The rewards for doing so were endless. It was a joy to sitting with her and hearing the old stories of the family and her life. We loved to read together, go shopping, watch movies. My personal best achievement with her was being insistant with the doctors to find the root cause of her incontinence issues. They wanted to give her a pill, but we found she had a prolaps uterus and bladder. After her surgery, she had no more issues. Being persistant paid off for her well-being. Being a Christian woman, it is important to me to ensure that quality of life remains present at all ages.
I became a caregiver to help an elder parent, when she would need more help. It is a good feeling knowing what to do when she needs help. I do like helping people and I have a sunny positive outlook on life.
Hi! My name is Makayla Smith. I am Nineteen years old and I am a Nurse Aide! I believe I am a very caring person who is dependable, honest, and intuitive. Working at Stanleytown has given me insight as to how to care for individuals who each have different special needs and attention. Growing up I knew that I was going to be in the healthcare field and I have worked very hard to get myself to this level of achievement since I was seventeen years old and being on my own since. I would love to be considered for your care-giving team to provide not only care to your loved one, but also companionship. Thank you! :)
