I have had a passion for health care & mostly the elderly population since I was in Kindergarten. However, I enjoy helping anyone who needs my assitance. I became a care giver because of the need & my own self satisfaction of helping others. I am proud to say I have been a Medical Assistant for the past 20 plus yearsr but feel I have come to a point in my career where the clinic setting has becomemore of a business and not very personal & caring. In the office setting you are rushed to room patient's that it has taken over the personal touch that I was proud to give. I feel the home setting you can be one on one which probably makes the patient feel more comfortable & the focus of why we are there to help them. I enjoy helping others to make their lives as full and content for them as possible.

I became a caregiver as a young child. Helping my cousin, Brian, who had Downs Syndrome, overcome fears and succeed made me deeply happy. I worked my way through college as a live-in caregiver, and relived the joy I had as a young girl helping Brian love life. If I had to give one reason that sets me apart as a caregiver, it is this -- love making others feel safe, content, happy, and challenged. By that, I mean motivated to overcome problems and feel hopeful once again. Overall, I have been caregiving for 15+ years (except for the 20 years I taught school), and I give God the credit for placing the love and compassion in my heart for those who are suffering. When I help others, then I am happy.

I decided to follow a career in the health field when I helped take care of my grandmother when she was in a nursing home for rehabilitation after a car accident. My older sister was always my idol. She became a nurse and I always admired her with her job and all that she does for other people who are in need. I decided to pursue in the same field. I enjoy helping others. I am a very giving and compassionate person. I take my job seriously, and don't expect anything in return. My reward is seeing smiling faces of those I help and knowing that they are completely appreciative of everything I do because I am not obligated to do so. I am proud of starting school to continue my education. I had financial issues and had to take a break, but I am determined to finish and get my RN. A little something about myself, I live on my own with my boyfriend and his 3 year old son. I also have a dog. I enjoy spending time with my family and my boyfriend's family. I am looking to add on to my small family, but the jobs I have had have not allowed me to be financially stable just yet. I am looking to get paid decently for all the work that I do as a CNA. CNAs don't always get competitive pay. Thank you for your time.

I was a registered nurse for twelve years and decided I wanted to get out of the hospital scene. However my passion continues to remain in caring for others that need help. I have cared for my mom, who is now deceased, for many years. I feel that helping a man, woman, or child in their home environment is extremely important. It gives them a sense of independence and wellbeing. I cared for a woman after I left nursing who had multiple sclerosis and cancer for two years and unfortunately she had to go into a nursing facility. As far as my personal achievements...in the past I was telemetry, ACLS, CPR certified. I would be willing to renew any of those if needed. I have always seemed to develop a great rapport with my patients and always worked well with my staff. As far as a personal achievement goes, I had a patient that had three strokes in succession. She would always call out my name. Finally she was discharged and years later I was at a new hospital doing orientation and she found me. She came from New York to see if she could find the people that cared for her. That was an amazing experience. Personal life--I have my husband and a stepson and a crazy cat. Just looking into getting back into helping others but in a different scene. Thank you for your consideration.

I have 20 plus years of experience specializing in Home Health Care, I have worked directly with Alzheimer's and Dementia, Lewy Body Dementia, Stroke, Parkinson's, Companion Care, Errands, Grocery shop. Clean , Cook, Dr. Appts, Medication reminders, Bathing, Sit and fit exercises, Safety of the home, I have Great references, I really enjoy working with Elderly, I try my best to help people stay in there homes as long as they can, I have a ton of patience when I know a client doesn't want help I know how handle these situation. I'm there to help not take over the independence , I really work at building trust with my client and there family members, I believe in communication with client and family members is very important . Hello! My name is Apolonia and I am currently working fulltime as a CNA at Clearview in Juneau, WI. I started the nursing assistant program back in 2009 in my senior year of high school and became certified in 2010 shortly after my son was born. However, my first job working with elderly was as an activity aide for the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun. I really enjoyed being able to get the residents out of their rooms to share laughs, reminisce about the good old days, and to just be there for them when they needed someone to talk to. After a year, I decided that I wanted to pursue working as a nursing assistant, so I obtained a position with Century Oaks Assisted Living Center in Oshkosh. Yes, it was a long commute from Waupun everyday, but I absolutely loved it. I started when the second building opened, so not only was I a new cna but I was working in an environment that was entirely brand new and we all grew together. We had an amazing team of people and it never felt like going to work. We just became like family. In 2014, the company was bought out by Capital Senior Living and I stayed working for about a year and then decided it was time to take the next step. So I applied to Clearview because it was closer to home and I now have a more consistent routine for my son. I plan to stay working for Clearview fulltime, but I am looking to take on a possible part time, temporary position or even be on call certain days. Either way, I am definitely looking forward to caring for your loved one!

I have been a Caregiver all my life. When my children were young I ran a Day Care out of my home. When they became teenagers I went back to School and fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. I have worked very closely with people of all ages from Newborn's to Senior Citizens. I am a "local" of Ozaukee County and I am looking for my next assignment to be within Ozaukee County, WI.
