I love caring for people who can not care for themselves or be there for companionship . I am a very compassionate caregiver and a very hard worker .

I am a compassionate, empathetic, outgoing and trustworthy person. I started caregiving because I love working with people they have so many good stories to share. I recently went to school to get my nursing assistant certification, on my way to be a nurse.

There are many qualities that make one a great caregiver. My qualities are that I try to do my best when working with residents as well as trying to understand them. Aging out does not mean they do not have needs or that they should not be heard, I try to use critical thinking and make every resident as comfortable as possible so their needs are being met. I am an outgoing person I love to help others and exceed my job expectations, I am a carrying person who is easygoing and takes responsibilities as well as the needs of others seriously. I have a grandfather with dementia and this made me want to help others who need an assistant. I have seen the lack of caregivers there is for elders. I love caregiving because it allows me to have a better understanding of what goes on in others' life and I get to be part of people's life making a difference in assisting them or bringing them a smile. I am proud of the person I am and how far I have gotten with my psychology and social work bachelors that I am currently working on.

Through personal experience with both my grandmothers, we found it difficult to find good quality and reliable care. Starting in High school I took a medical terminology course , and from there my interest in the medical field grew. I took the CNA course through Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville and LOVED IT! I opted to take the additional Advance Nursing Assistant course. I have worked in many different environment such as nursing homes, hospital and Home Health. After 3 years I decided to open my own business become licensed and insured to provide Care for others in their Home and it's been the Best discission of my life!!

I came to care for my mother's needs after her triple bypass. And have always been a caregiver in some sort of way. My clients have ranged with various needs brain trauma, Cancer and Dementia. I am a nurturer by design. I like helping people to be as independent as possible.I am a warm and engaging person. When I can make my clients smile and feel good about their day,then I know the world is brighter. I am a mom to a high functioning autistic son and a have beautiful daughter.I am also married over 20 years which is huge!

I am easy-going, reliable, ask questions when needed and have worked in the field since 1999. I have worked for Community Living Alliance since 1999. I worked for Catholic Charities for a number of years too. I have done sleepovers and awake work. I have also worked with clients with developmental disabilities too.

I've worked in support services for the past 20 years. From customer service to helping others run companies. Caregiving has been the most fulfilling for me. It feels great to put all my skills to work for someone who needs it the most. My goal is to help my clients feel respected, comfortable and cared for. They deserve to live through these difficult and or confusing times with someone who can provide the attention and care they deserve.
