I was an RN for 14 years predominately in oncology, 3 years in Hospice home health. I am the mother and caregiver of a 43 year old son with quadriplegic cerebral palsy so I am very experienced with disabilities and needed equipment. I cared for my mother, who had alzheimer's disease. I have been a church secretary for the last two years. I am a very compassionate, caring person with a positive personality and a good sense of humor. I want to be a Caregiver.

This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I have been in the health care setting for over twenty years. I learn at an early age from my mother about how important and rewarding it is to take care of the elderly. My mother toke care of her mother and father and aunt and uncle. She brought them in her home and toke care of them. I helped her with them. Then I brought my mother and my father in my home and toke care of them with help of my husband till they pass in 2009. I've worked at three different hospital over twenty years. I am now 56 years old and work as a caregiver. I enjoy my job it is very rewarding work. I was also a foster parent so I enjoy children as well. For 25 years I worked as a retail pharmacist and I have always loved talking to people and helping them understand their medicines.
