I started in the medical field at the age of 16, because Iknew that that was what i wanted to do. I continued on when I went to the air force working with my fellow soldiers, when I came back home I have worked in Drs office , and ultimately working for elderly and Hospice. 1. My mom was dx with cancer and it was my desire to take care of her , my desire is to treat each client with the tender loving care as though they were my own love one . And to provide a safe and clean enviroment for them to feel safe and deeply loved at home.

I enjoy caring for people and being there for them when needed. what is a personal achievement that I am proud of? my personal achievement was becoming a Direct Support Professional Senior Counselor after 3 years of being a Direct Support Professional.

I became a caregiver because I can give people the care and support they need to be all they can be. I love helping people, making sure that the life and very existence of someone is better, because I am in there life is very important to me. I am inclined to the service to others and I like professions where I have the possibility of interacting with others, I am a migrant I come from Argentina, I chose this profession because I consider it very humanistic and it gives me the opportunity to accompany and help in difficult moments, It is also a profession that teaches you to be humble and value life, to help anyone to maintain their dignity and self-esteem is something great for me. I have my criminal record card ready. I speak Spanish, Italian and my English is basic but I have no problems communicating. At the age of 45 I walked away from my previous career to go to college and earned my associates of science degree

I have been in the medical field since 2007. I enjoy this profession due to the fact that I am able to help those who can't or need the help to do their daily activities and it makes me feel good knowing that I am able to give the person and their family that sense of relief knowing they have someone here who cares and genuinely wants to be there and do the best possible care they can to improve the quality of care and life. I've always gone above and beyond for anyone I've worked for and had a resident who was very hard to please go out of her way to write a note and post on the bulletin for all to see thanking me. For staying after my shift to put her to bed bc no one else would do it and I stayed an extra hr and half to do it and didn't complain in fact I kept asking if she was comfortable or needed. Anything else and she couldn't believe how sweet I was and even requested that if I was on shift I'd be her care giver.
