I have 14 years of experience as a caregiver, and I love it. I actually enjoy it! I continuously to perfect my craft as a caregiver by providing care for individuals that need long-term care and/or short-term care in healthcare facilities such as nursing homes, hospitals, rehabs, and or assisting livings. I also have hands-on experience with in-home care. My experience as a caregiver includes: Parkinson's, bed-bound illnesses, different stages of Alzheimer's, cancer, mental health issues, stroke, wheelchair bound, feeding tube, hoyer lifter, transfers, transportation, and companionship. I am capable, comfortable, and confident enough to manage medication, doctor's appointments, grooming/hygiene care, meal preparation, and any other duties that will be required for a safe and healthy environment for your loved one(s). I can provide my own background check and a motor vehicle report by request. I also have references that can vouch for my work ethics and performance while on duty and off duty. I do have my own transportation. I am willing to provide a drug test. I am CPR & First Aid certified. I am in school for nursing (RN). I am TB negative. I am not vaccinated. I became a caregiver because I love and care about people and respect everyone. What was the main reason I chose being a caregiver was because when I was a child i had a handicap aunt. When everyone was outside playing I was in the house assisting and aiding her needs. My aunt was born handicap and therefore has always been in a wheelchair her entire life. She never got the chance to walk or enjoy life but I tried my hardest to help her see the happiness I did for the world. The main reason I like being a caregiver is just helping people enjoy what they may have lost due to age or handicap. It's a pleasure knowing I'm the reason someone is smiling and satisfied wherever they may be in their life. A personal achievement I'm proud of, is being a parent. There's something so rewarding about knowing I'm the reason each of my three children are so well adjusted and comfortable in their lives. In general I'm just a very nurturing and funny person. I try to make the best out of every situation and go above and beyond to make people comfortable. I'm a non confrontational individual and I try my hardest to make those around see the positives in life.

I hold a EMT-B and BLS certification. I am compassionate and truly care about giving people care when they are unable to do so themselves. Although I do not have home care experience I do have 3 years experience working in the emergency department caring for very sick individuals. I have learned skills to recognize and provide care for a number of ailments.
