My name is Joyce, I came into this profession because my mother was a caregiver when I was young. I watch her and how she enjoyed helping others. As I grew and went on my on I tried several different jobs, but none have brought me satisfication than helping others. In 2008 is when I started my life long journey of taking care of others. I started with my parents, stayed with them full time until they laid down to rest. After 2013 my mom fell asleep in death and I went back to school and started my career in caregiving. Now I have a son and it helps me to set an example for him, because he watches me being kind and helpful to other.

My name is Katie and I took care of my mom and Dad when they were alive...my dad had a stoke it was hard seeing a strong man go to not evening able to fed himself but I tried to make things easier for him not belittle him because he still my father and deserve respect... my mother was on dialysis and she had dementia it was hard, but being with her everyday you learn how to handle her moods and try to make her as comfortable as possible, taking her on long rides always made her happy. I would treat any person parents, sister or brother the way I would like anyone to treat my family.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping those in need. Space and opportunity is what I like most about being a caregiver because it gives me the chance to show my caring abilities as well as my nurturing abilities. a personal achievement I am proud of and dealing with a nursing home is when one of my patients who was not able to feed her Self, overtime became able to do so. I am very loyal caring outgoing I love to smile and I love and enjoy life I love helping others and by knowing that I can help others and allow them to smile it's rewarding to me.

Working in the healthcare field is one of the best decisions that I could have made. I have been licensed now for 13 years and i have worked consecutively through the previous years until now. My hourly wage can vary depending on the needs of the client.I really enjoy working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, i learned how my natural personality can be used in my career field. I've always been a warm spirit person and I love interacting with people. I've always been a genuinely friendly person that enjoys conversing with others and helping others. So, I went into this field without a second thought and without contemplation from day one. At first, I just wanted a career until I realized that it was so many wonderful things that i would later experience and encounter along the way and that's when it became not only a profession but a passion. I've been in the same positions that some of my patients and residents are in which make you more understanding and compassionate when you're helping others. Over the years i learned that what i enjoy most is making others happy and comfortable no matter what the circumstances are i just learned to find the good in things and help others to see it also, even when they're in a position that they may feel that's hard to do. There has never been any type of patients or residents that i could not provide for as long as the proper healthcare essentials are available for whatever their situations might be. One of my personal achievements is that I never gave up and i grew better and learned a lot of things within my field and made memories that I honestly will cherish forever within my heart . I will end by saying that i gained a lot of wisdom and patience from my clients that i will carry for the rest of my life and will be useful within my life out in the working world.
