I became a caregiver because I have a passion for taking care of people. I helped my mother take care of my brother and sister and it became a part of who I am as a person. I will go over and beyond to help a person and I take great pride in being that way. My greatest achievement is knowing that I made a positive impact in someone's life.

Patience, empathy, reliability and honesty are top traits that I have learned to go above and beyond expressing over the decade put into caring for others. My passion began as a teenager, watching my mother operate a day program for mentally and physically challenged adults. I would spend early dismissal days at the program learning how to care and support adults who needed an extra hand. As I matured and ventured out into different career areas, I always seemed to end up back where I was most fulfilled and happy, which is caregiving. The rewards are in the smiles, milestones reached and surpassed and the trust that I build with the individuals and their families. Caregiving has allowed me to travel the US and gain experience in many different settings, while being exposed to the various challenges and conditions others face in the world. Gaining knowledge from medical professionals of all walks and being able to utilize everything I have learned have all benefited those I care for and allowed me to excel at what I love.

I feel caregiving/cna is my true calling. I enjoy helping clients with activities of daily living whom can't do for themselves. I enjoy learning about the lives my clients have lived and their families. When I have a client whom has Alzheimers or Dementia, I enjoy stepping into their world.

I became a nurse after I had my child. I have 15 years of experience as a nurse and I'm CPR certified. I've been a nurse since 2000. I started by working in the hospital and moved into private duty nursing. I've taken care of people of all ages from preemies to hospice, from mental disabilities to physical ones. I love what I do. I'll admit I get car sick so riding around isn't a good idea for me but as long as I'm driving I'm good. I do clean while I'm working. Taking out trash, doing dishes that were used, laundry, and any other messes that may come up. I'm not someone that is always on my phone and I like to interact with the people I work with. I'm a great listener and a fast learner. I love working with and learning about new people. At the moment I have a vehicle from 9am until 9pm. I've alway been told that I'm a people person and can get along with anyone. And I really hope that I will get that chance. My rate is negotiable depending on care.

Have had many years in health care primarily as a physician assistant but also owner and manager. Have done several years as a Home Health Aide. Currently completed a Certified Nursing Assistant program June 13,12015. I am also CPR certified . The type of health care has been in family medicine, complementary and alternative medicine, urgent care, and addiction medicine. Have done some emergency room work, For several years was a director of an assisted living and have done work at nursing homes. Have had a certification as an Emergency Medical technician and Pharmacy Technician. Having had an EMT background would be adept at handling medical emergencies if they should occur in the home.
