I have been a caregiver for the last six years due to an accident my daughters were in. My oldest was left a T10 spinal cord injury and I have spent this time making her independent. This accident has totally changed my life. It humbled me as a person and showed me not only the part of the medical field I thrive in but also showed me what I am good at. I find great reward in watching the things my daughter is now doing compared to what she was doing at the time of her accident...I know this is because of the hard work and determination I had as soon as they told me her injuries. I love going home at night knowing I made a difference in a life. The achievements I am proud of are graduating from the Scrub Technician certification program at Paris Junior College.
