I truly believe to be an excellent caregiver you must put the clients needs & feelings first. I strive to make sure all my clients maintain their sense of normalcy and dignity. I have experience with caregiving for clients that are under the age of 10 & over the age of 80. On a personal note: I was my mothers caregiver for the last 2 years of her life. She was on & off of hospice while she battled a liver & lung disease. Currently, I'm a Respite Worker for clients that have a range of health issues. I grew up in a home with a special needs brother who required 24h care. Some included tasks such as suctioning his airway, handling daily medications, feedings around the clock, change & turning him. I also have had experience with my elderly grandmother. I love to help those around me. Its a very good feeling.
