I started by taking Family leave from my job as a Bookkeeper, to care for my Father. I thought at that point 5 years ago, hey I would like to do this for a living. Two years later my Father passed away and I lost my job and began caring for my Mother. At that point I decided to go to school and become certified. Received my CNA in 2013. Have been working since then and love what I'm doing. I am caring, dependable, fun, positive and energetic. I am a team player and can also take the lead. I love to cook, bake and juice. Interested in healthy living. Love walking, music, traveling and especially my family!

It's a gift for me to take care elder people

I have been a caregiver 18 years and completely love my job. I have worked in a few facilities as a(cna) but I love to provide care in home working one on one with my client. I take pride in going that extra mile to make my client and there family happy. I have a very flexible schedule which opens me to varies shifts . I'm filled with great joy when taking care of others, we can never imagine what life may bring or when we may need to be cared for ourselves. I come from a family that cared for each other at home whenever necessary. Our family stayed at home and was cared for by other family members. I got the best lessons on caring for the vulnerable and elderly that way. I have been a caregiver for around 25 years and love going into the homes of people who need someone to take care of them in order for their lives to continue to function normally without disruptions in routine that would be debilitating to them. My name is Arlette, My journey working with seniors started when I cared for my grandmother when she needed the help about 10 years ago. After that I noticed I enjoyed caring for the elderly and spending time with them. I love listening to their stories and learning from their experiences. I see them and treat them as my family. I like to help them get the best quality of life under their circumstances. I feel a sense of accomplishment every time it's time for me to leave their house and they have a smile on their faces. Love taking care of people my whole life, I always was a people person,I was told by my peers that I have a gift and that this is my calling, this is my passion, I'm proud that I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of with different cultures and experience with different kinds of patients at providence hospital for 20 years it was a wonderful experience for me and a great place to work.

The reason that I have gone to school to take care of others which started with my grandmother getting very ill. As the oldest and only girl among four siblings, I inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later moved into adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and different parts of the world. Each person is unique, and their shared experiences often come with valuable knowledge and lessons.
