I became a caregiver because I love to serve and help the needy. Before I started a job as a caregiver, I volunteered at the Pre-Ops of Sinai hospital in Baltimore forsix (6) hours, 3 days a week.I care about people, I am a very loving and caring person, full of empathy and I am learning so much in this chosen career from my clients. I am full of joy, I love to sing, read them poems and sometimes we dance together. I love to dress them up. We play cards sometime and some of them watch their favorite game show on T.V and cooking is also a delight to me. I am a great companion on my one -one cases because I love to be fulfilled at work too.

I have a long line of care takers in my family so it's always been my passion to help people live their lives to the fullest. It brings me joy to watch the worry fall off their shoulders the minute I walk through the door. Every one of my clients are treated as if they were my own family. I am most proud of my ability to have patients. I have been pushed to my limit several times but I can always remain calm and talk my way through those crisis. I make friends easily but yet manage to stay professional in my work places. I'm a very relaxed and approachable person, I feel that's very important in my field.

I am a very down to earth, kind hearted person. I have always loved taking care of people, whether it be babies/kids or the elderly. I love being able to help people and it is very rewarding being a caregiver. Giving them companionship is so rewarding, especially if they don't have family/friends nearby.

I love working with elderly and help them and make sure they get to there doctor appointments grocery shopping and remind them to take there medications and help them prep food for them and help them with some chores around the house and make sure they have clean clothes and i enjoy helping elderly people out i helped my grandmother for 15 years of my life

I know this sounds lame, but I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I love the rewarding feeling I get from giving. Now, when I was a kid that was another story. I carried all of my toys in a brown grocery bag and you would have to fight me to get me to share! I love listening and learning from others. I feel that this has only improved my caregiving skills. I have worked with all ages, races, religions, disabilities and I treat each person the same. We all deserve dignity and respect regardless of our situation. I'm kind, but love to laugh and have a good time. Most importantly I know how to act appropriate for the situation. I became a Caregiver after taking care of my late husband and also for my friend's husband. I have always been a care giver, it's in my make-up. Having the feeling of pride when I know that I have made my client's bad day into a good one. I raised three sons to be men I can be proud of. They are the best dad's my grandchildren can have. I became a caregiver for a few reasons. First reason was to peruse my dream of becoming a nurse and secondly because helping others truly is my passion and working with others brings me joy. What I like about being a caregiver is when I can make someone else’s day just a little bit brighter and even easier. This is an accomplishment that I can achieve again and again. Along with this my biggest achievement was being accepting into Metropolitan State University’s Nursing program. This was a goal that seemed very hard to reach but with determination and hard work I was able to prove to myself that I can do anything that I set my mind to. I currently live in Minnetonka MN, with my beloved husband and our joyful kitten Leo. I am on track to graduate with my Nursing degree in 2016.
