I have been in sales and marketing most of my 35+ years of professional experience. I got out of professional industry to take care of my parents who needed full time assistance; would trade it for the world, although I miss them terribly. Since I have grown even more interested in taking care of those in need, sharing stories and laughter...best medicine. My daily goal is to make a person laugh or smile daily.

I enjoy the ability to help others, to gain knowledge form the elderly. I became a caregiver a few years after my grandmother was put in a nursing home. I saw the love and compassion she received and this inspired me to want to help the elderly and disabled. I got my CNA when I was 18 and my EMT when I was 20. I am proud to say I have helped an number of sweet people and they in turn have taught me so much. As a mother of two children, I want to show them that loving, caring and respect of all ages, ethnicity will make this world a better place.

Since I was a young girl, I have always taken great interest in caring for others. I usually am able to tell what someone I'm caring for needs before they even know they need it. I take great pride in being able to make someone laugh or smile as I am a big kid at heart.. You're only as old as you feel.. To me, being a caregiver is effortless, although I put my all into my patients and their needs.

I have years of experience working with Alzheimer's, dementia, feeding, preparing meals, bathing, total care and all mechanical devices etc. I have 3 children which 2 is serving in the Arm Force and one daughter. I came from a family where we all worked into the medical field caring and always helping others. A few years ago my father became ill and was diagnose with stomach cancer along with having dementia. I realized being a care giver and caring for others it took a special person to do this and I realized that I had to find someone just like me to help with caring for my father until his passing. I started off taking care of my great grandma at a very young age. I loved every minute of helping her out so I tried being a caregiver about 6 years ago and fell in love with helping people out in ways they can't help themselves with daily stuff/just being a shoulder to cry on or a open ear. Seeing the smiles and knowing I can help and make stuff easier for people makes me feel great. I love doing what I do and helping people out.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being a caregiver!! It started when my grandmother was sick and had a stroke. I helped take care of her, along with my Uncle. I then decided that I wanted to help others from pediatrics to seniors. My favorite are the seniors! I enjoy making them smile, laugh, feel at ease, and keep them less stressed or worried about getting their daily activities completed. I have been a caregiver for more than 20 years and I love it!! I enjoy hearing about their lives growing up and stories of today! I can not see myself doing anything else than helping people the best that I can as a caregiver.

I originally took a course in HHA in 2008 as a means to educate myself to properly care for my mother when she suffered from a stroke. I began working as an HHA in 2011 and later obtained my CNA licensing within the same year.
