Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I've tried many different jobs through out my life and have found the most satisfaction in caring for others. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I'm a single mom of an 11 year old boy. I've been a CNA since 2001. I've gone to school at PCC, specializing in gerontology, end of life care, and dementia. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home. I'm a hard worker and am always trying to come up with new ways to improve the lives of the ones I care for.

I became a caregiver in 2011 I am CPR certified,I have my Nurse Delegation,Dementia &Alzheimer's, Developmental Disabilities speciality training,Mental Health ,Insulin Delegation i have all my certificates of competition. It is my passion to take care of others it has always been my dream job since I was little I wanted to become a nurse, I enjoy working with the clients of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds and have a demonstrated ability to develop great relationship with them and their families. Moreover, I am trustworthy and responsible person who takes great pleasure in all kinds of caregiving tasks. My favorite thing about what i do is knowing that i play a special part in someone's life who can no longer take of themselves and i get the privilege to do so and having the trust of it being all in my hands. Im very proud of myself for sticking with being a caregiver and getting all the diffrent trainings i have and experience i have gotten from it.

I enjoy helping people and supporting them to live the lives that they want to but are unable to on their own. I am a caring person, a hard worker and I pay close attention to details. I enjoy cooking and preparing meals and general house cleaning. My grandmother was a CNA at a hospital for over 14 years and I always wanted to help people like she did. I have been in the Health Care field for over 14 years , I started out as a CNA and found my way into the ID/DD community and I love it! Hello my name is Karla, I have been a caregiver since 1998. Besides caregiving I also have a love for animals, dogs, cats, horses, etc. I live on a small farm in Vader. I knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 16, my grandfather moved in with us and we hired hospice to help us care for him. I was in awe of the help we recieved from these wonderful ladies. I worked in a hospital for 20 years. I started out in housekeeping then went to school to recieve my Certified Nurses Aide certificate for Washington state. I have worked in many aspects for the hospital from babies to hospice, emergency room to recovery. I choose to do in home health care when I moved to Vader. I enjoy in home caregiving because I get to meet very interesting clients and families. I enjoy the slower pace of caring for a client one on one. Well I've always had a caring nature about me and am a very hardworking and dedicated person, i have always wanted to help anyone i had came across that was sick and needed care. A little backstory for u is when i got my nursing degree so i could start helping my father with his everyday needs as well as helping him get around the house as he was in great deal of pain and would loose breath trying to just roll over. So i took a course in college nursing 090, and by the end of the class i had learned how to transfer him with out a great deal of pain! It made my days well worth every moment, and although he unfortunately did not make it to see me graduate, he sadly passed five short months before i graduated with a 3.8 gpa from LCC here in longview. So i then went on to caring for others in they're homes and absolutely loved becoming apart of many new familys along the way, making all of my clients feel comfortable, loved, important and always giving them a sense of security knowing that i would be there everyday for them and their daily needs that were not bieng or able to be fully met.
