Hello! I have 12 years experience in the medical field. I've been doing companion/homecare for 10 years. My work is extremely rewarding. I strive for my client to enjoy the interaction and am appreciated for the light housekeeping, laundry and meal prep. My overnight care experience has consisted of medication management, dressing, undressing, help with bathing, daily hygiene before getting dressed, incontinence, brace, gait belt, sling, bed rails, urinals and the use of scooters, canes, walkers and wheelchairs. Both clients were stroke patients and am familiar with cueing, toileting, standing and sitting positions. A patient of 7 years, stroke victim, paralyzed in his left side. My patient of 1 year, 4 night live-in, stroke as well but full movement. I have completed a respite care case recently and am now more knowledgable caring for cancer patients.
