About Ashley

My name is Ashley Hallman and I love working with people and helping people live a healthy life. I was a Massage therapist for 12 years and wanted to take another side job with an elderly friend of the family that I knew. I began working for them 3 years ago, they passed and I wanted to continue in this rewarding field of work so I went to school to become certified as a licensed CNA. I loved school and my Internship at an assisted living facility. I have worked with 2 other families during my schooling as well. I enjoy serving people, I dont mind things that involve physical labor or health issues. Blood and bathroom needs never have been an issue with me. I have ran a goat dairy,delivered animals as well as apprenticed with my midwife as a doula. I love in home care the best bc you get to know the person your assisting and I want them to trust me. I think when working with Dementia patients it is especially important to have familiar faces and routine. I am happy to have small certiifications in certain areas like Massage, Herbalist cert., Doula, CNA is my newest. I feel I am well rounded and am truthfully interested in peoples health and well being. I have had 4 boys of my own and use to Homeschool so I also would work with disabled children as well.I have my CPR and infant CPR as well as first Aid and neg TB test up to date. I have experience in areas that involve hard work. I am determined yet flexible and trainable. I value others and do things as others would prefer

    I have worked for Daniel as a Massage Therapist part time for 3 years now. He is a faithful client who has given me other clients through the years. I strictly have done ROM,as well as deep tissue massage, he usually gets one massage a week for an hour at a time. Daniel has no known diagnosis just back pain due to work relations.

    I began working part time for Jack Reeves and his wife Doris while finishing with Saras Mother. I started part time assisting her in bathing,getting dressed,taking to church and store,she was very unsteady on her feet and had a bit of vertigo but was sharp as a tack. I took her blood pressure and recorded it, prepared meals and did alot of house work,as well as yard work.she had many bathroom needs she suffered with weak bladder, and bowels.I knew i wanted to become certified when working for them.I assisted with falls as well. Jack passed and she moved to Santee SC for full time care in there other home.

    This was a friend who needed care for her Mother who had early stages of Dementia. I learned from shadowing a CNA at this job how to assist in ways that I did not intuitively know. I did alot of meal preperation, bathing, ROM and massage, (she also had a bad back. I took her on walks, assisted in reminding meds.,light housework,assisted in moving as well as running errands,taking to Dr. appointments and Bingo as well as grocery store shopping. We spent alot of time talking and I was a listening ear for her as well.

I was in charge of the CSA which is delivering families there produce and giving tours and classed on cheese making, milking goats(which I had been doing since I was 16) I still did massages in clients homes part time. I also did greenhouse work and some veggie harvest, as well as planting and selling flowers,and cheesemaking and selling at farmers markets. This was a very busy time
