I have a love for senior adults. I have been around seniors all my life and enjoy being around and help taking care of senior adults because one day I may also need some help from someone. I am very compassionate, have a lot of patience and enjoy helping people. I have a servants heart. I believe it is very important for seniors today to try and stay in there homes as long as they can and try to take care of themselves. For six years I worked part time installing medical alert systems with Phillips Lifeline. I wanted to work full time with them, but they needed someone to work out of Savannah and I was unable to move due to many obligations. We were blessed to take care of a blind pastor who lived with us for over 17 years and my kids became his grandkids and we loved him very deeply. When he was diagnosed with cancer, I asked him if he wanted to stay with my family or go to his daughters. He told me he wanted to stay with us and I told him if God would give me the strength to take care of him, I would and God did his part. Over the years I have spent many nights in hospitals with family and friends. I have a very active life still taking care of many people and I have done that all my life, including my parents today. A couple of personal achievements I would like to share is I have been married to the same woman for almost 34 years. I have been with ALCOA as a shift supervisor for over 34 years.
