I got into the Nursing field because I wanted to be in a career that helped people, I wanted to bring joy to people in unhappy situations.Working in Nursing Homes a lot of the workers are there for the wrong reasons, I understand that I am one unfortunate incident from being in their shoes and will want someone kind caring for me. And if could bring joy & happiness to someone in their last days I want to.

Working for the boys and girls club made me realize how much of a people person I am, but made me want to help people as much as possible. So I decided to pursue nursing as a career. I'm starting off with CNA/HHA because it's one on one direct contact and interaction with the patient. I have 4 years experience as a caregiver, I'm well experience with hoyer lift, sit to stand lift, catheter care, bed sores, aphasia, and my specialty is in dementia/Alzheimer's.

I first started caregiving in 2010 and fell in love with it, I love to take care of people and being there in time of their need. It brightens my day to see smiles on peoples faces and i can never leave work without seeing that smile. I am working on being a nurse in the future and this is a great start for me. I became a caregiver because i was brought up taking care of my grandmother's n grandfather's when they were challenged by doing even the simple things,i love doing this because it gjve's me the fullfillment that i was able to Do something good by providing comfort and care.I have been a caregiver for almost 3 yrs now and graduated as an LVN last 2014...I am a very jolly person,i get along with all my co-workers im hardworking and dedicated to my job.

. I am very compassionate about caring for others in need , I think it is important to offer help ; big or small to those whom need it . It is very rewarding to offer protection , care , smiles, and assistance .i am currently a certified nursing assistance , rather the kind of location I give care . I've always took care of the my elderly grandparents whom raised me . I've seen how much my help , helped them & now see how many are in need of the assistance . I went through every possible emotion , I endured and became stronger on the other side of it . Every night I went into taking care of 22+ patients , even times when I was the only cna on the floor 65+ residents . The nurse told me to just answer calls lights , but I wanted to work , I cared enough to stand the whole 8 hours changing. Feeding , and giving care to every patient that night . I was very proud of myself , especially because no one expected for me to go that above & beyond . I have many many moments as a cna that showed me who I was , and how strong , loving, and hardworking I can truly be . Even when I'm tired I still push through with a smile , and excellent attitude . That made me very very proud of myself .
