Giving care it's natural to me . I am a mother of 3 , but I have many loving kids who I take care from time to time to help some of my friends and my neighbors . Caring for this kids make me chose the job of nanny . In 2003 the same people I was caring their kids advise me to go do the CNA in 2005 I got my certificate and I start working with the elders , see the needs of our elders it warm my heart to be able to help them .When I move to NJ I was more happy to get into it again. Now I am a certified home health aide.
I am a very caring and compassionate person. I am a mother of three adult children as well as a wife. I was a stay home mom for the first seven years of motherhood. I was born the oldest of seven to a single mom, I have been helping care for my siblings since I was six years old. I love to help those who can't help themselves or just need help, kindness and patience. I would have to say my proudest achievement is that I am a wife and mother for 27 years. I have been a Home Health Aide And Personal Care Aide for over 20 years in the state of NY. I have experience with older people as well as disabled individuals physically and mentally.
What make me a great care giver is the love and care I have for my patient. I love to bond with them so that I know exactly how they like everything so that I can meet their needs. I have a history of 30 years as a caregiver. I started as a Home Health Aide in Hospice with 2 companies for 7 years. American Hospice and Central Hospice, due to a back injury I left the company and started private duty from the recommendation of one of my Hospice nurses. A month after starting with Hospice that I hadn't ever heard of at the time, I felt I had found my calling in life. I'm a great Caregiver because I treat my patients as my own family, I show respect to the family and their needs and try to recommend the best scenario for the family needs. 98% of my private jobs has been from past families. My very first family of over 20 years ago I'm still in touch with. I having had two clients on the LVAC heart machine. Cooking, laundry and light housekeeping. I'm the type of person that's very personable I love people and I love helping others. I worked at St Vincent hospital as a patient safety assistance I kept my patients safe I assisted them with restroom duties, feeding, walking, I played games with them watched television I became their companion. I've worked with people with all types of elements even hospice, ages from infants to 104 years of age. I also work with the seniors at my church. I'm a very nurturing person. I love to make others laugh and smile, I've been called an angel by some. I have an 88 year old mother so dealing with the elderly is something that I have mastered by experience. Also I'm a CNA
