I love providing home care services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes my soul smile inside out, this has been something that my mother did as well as her mother. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. My personal achievement is the mindfulness of it all. I'm very loving and kind the youngest of four, very outgoing but grounded I'm that person that holds the door, pay for a person bill if they just don't have enough.
I became a caregiver because I wanted to always be able to take care of my sick mother. I am trustworthy with training, education, and guidance with caring for families , so they have emotional support and are comfortable. My compassion for patients allows me to have understanding and be attentive to their needs. I will follow set rules, be Punctual, and show good time - management.
I have a passion for helping seniors, as they have such knowledge and wisdom. Over the ten plus years of my experience, I have had the privilege of caring for seniors with gait problems/high risk falls, dementia/alzheimer's, immobile, developmental disabled/delayed and those that just need a sitting companion or someone to run a few errands. Whatever is needed to make them more comfortable and set the families' mind at ease, I am willing to provide that support. I love caring for people and giving myself to help others.
Caring for seniors and enriching their lives brings great joy to my heart. With an educational background in physical therapy and years of direct experience with seniors, I understand the key to aging gracefully. It’s not rocket science, just basic common sense. Over many years, I have developed an innovative program for promoting graceful aging, independence, and dignity for seniors. The focus is a holistic whole person approach for facilitating physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Along with providing a comprehensive wellness program, patient care advocacy, and other specialized services, I believe in making life fun with a wide variety of meaningful programs and events. George Bernard Shaw once wrote, "We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing." Many programs and special events I organized for retirement communities have appeared in the News and Observer, Herald Sun, Apex Herald, and other newspapers. Two were covered by WTVD ABC news 11.

Hello! Thank you for clicking on my profile. My name is Ashlei Smith and I'm a 27 y.o. RN with my BSN from Wayne State University. I decided on health care because no other job sector allows me to radiate my true passion for caring for others. I was a programmer analyst for Keybank, sitting behind a computer just miserable because of lack of human interaction. I had my daughter in 2015 and the amount of time and energy I put into her care made me feel so amazing that I decided I had to do this the rest of my life. "This" being caring for others. It sounds so strange to say but my current residents say to me so astounded at times, "You know...you really care." I know why they say that. In this world we live in people do only what they have to and then they're done with it. I truly am one of a kind and my level of care is exceptional. I am thorough in my care and also efficient with my time. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I made another person feel comfortable and took some of the stress that life throws at them away.
I believe I am a great caregiver because I am empathetic, patient and dependable. I decided to become a CNA to gain experience caring for patients, clients, et cetera while I pursue nursing school. I love being a caregiver because I find helping others in any way to be very rewarding and I love getting to know the people I take care of.
I feel most satisfied in doing my job when the ones I am caring for feel safe with me. There is something about making someone else feel better that I cannot put into words. My recent experiences have been fulfilling and rewarding for myself, and the client. I pride myself on not only being on time for work but usually a bit early. I take pride in doing my job well and safely. My goal is to provide the best care when, where, and the way it is wanted and deserved. Because I usually take the initiative, the client and the family is put at ease rapidly. I am trustworthy and reliable (and a pretty decent cook, if I might add:) I am strong and energetic. I like the outdoors, walking, sports, and reading. I am a caregiver you would be very satisfied with ( I'm speaking from previous experiences:)) I am dedicated to my clients and their welfare. If you want a caretaker that is there to provide care and not use personal electronic devices while on the job, I am that one. (757) 597-4380, Morrisville, NC.
