Hi I'm Andrea I want to tell you a little about me. I'm 37 and Married with a stepdaughter who I call my own. We have a cat named Jaspurr. We are located in Norman, Oklahoma. I believe my personality traits that would make me a great caregiver are openness to feelings, straightforwardness(being "frank, sincere, and ingnous") Warmth (being affectionate and friendly) Postive emotions, Competence, Outgoing, Willing to communicate with all parties involved with the person I'm caring for. What attracted me to being a caregiver is from August of 2003 to May of 2004 I took a CNA Class and worked a few short months at the Arbor House in Mustang before getting married for the first time. I moved out of state and did not continue to follow a dream I had of becoming an RN so I have decided to do caregiving and work my way to an RN. I wanted to help those in need and felt that was what attracted me to doing caregiving. What I enjoy most about caregiving is helping those that need it most and for families to be able to not stress or worry about loved ones knowing they have someone like me that can keep their loved ones taken care of and keep them company and just someone to sit with them and listen to stories and many other things. A personal achievement for me is owning my very first brand new car 2021 Kia Rio. I feel another achievement for me is all the training I have taken the time to do on MyCNA Jobs and plan to do more. I have lots of certificates if you have any questions regarding any training please feel free as I was not able to add them to my profile. I'm working on trying to take another CNA class. I however am trained as a caregiver and have many other certifications that I could not add.I have several different certifications. I am a compassionate individual with a big heart. My goal is to make a difference in the lives that I touch as I am invited into someone's home to care for their loved one. I believe in being organized, compassionate, loving, and bringing joy to those who are chronically or terminally ill. My passion to become a caregiver, started with becoming a hospice nurse. As a result, I have formed special relationships with families' of patient's that I once care for. I enjoy being able to go home at the end of the day knowing that I made someone smile. The one thing I am most proud of, is being able to share a part of me with a complete stranger and being able to make memories that will last a lifetime for that person.

I am from Africa precisely from Cameroon. I like to take care of older people because it's part of me. I took good care of my grandmother before she passed away and when I came hear I saw this as a good job for me because I'm caring, loving, compassionate and above all hardworking that's why I'm in the nursing school to become a nurse. I have always taken responsibility of maintaining and establishing order in the home and work environment. Growing up my mother worked two full time jobs, and I naturally stepped in to take care of household needs at the age of 12. I have 5 children of my own, so it's a passion of mine to help even if it's to direct and give the individual the independence they need. I have learned that I enjoy caring for people of all ages whether it be with a healthy meal, a clean and orderly space, or just to listen to their hearts. A personal achievement is that I am not limited to a set career. I have an accounting degree and have worked in different jobs while mostly being a stay at home mom. I've also invested my time to helping others start their own businesses. I focus on whole health with body, mind, and spirit. I believe that we must put good things into ourselves as well as speak good things into our lives. I have studied a lot over the years in nutrition for my family and friends. I cook from scratch with clean ingredients and always ask questions about the gut and digestive system of the individual to better their health with a good meal. I have a friend that has a Nutritionist and I have helped her in the kitchen with healthy meals because a Nutritionist does not always give you a step by step guidance in your new direction. I do lead a small prayer/study group at church. Encouraging and speaking life into one another to faithfully get through difficult times.
