Hi my name is krystal Watson and I'm a single mother of 1. I went to school to help people, I love helping people. I have been a caregiver since the age of 10. My grandmother lived with us and I helped bath, feed, and dress her as well as other things , and that gave me a bigger heart because some elders like my grandmother are just babies all over again

I believe I am a great caregiver because I truly love taking care of others! I Want to be able to help, i try to help as little as possible in certain areas, as to let them still feel as independent as possible, but am there we needed. Seniors are great because they have such awesome stories, and I believe its their time to be pampered and spoiled a little. I think what I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is that I can make their lives a little easier and give the family's some comfort knowing that their loved ones are with someone that truly enjoys their job and " will take care or them as they would". what personal achievement I am proud of is Completing school last year, but it was worth it, and I enjoyed it so much I take every online class available to continue my education. It also showed me, Im in the right place-helping the elderly. I am a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant, which is equivalent to patient care tech in the hospital setting; and I am CPR/BLS Certified. Also, have completed Covid19 awareness and safety classes.

Skills & Certifications: Hearing Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Medical Assistant (MA), Orthopedic Care, Cardiovascular Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, Neurological Disorders, Hospice Care, Home Health Care, Depression, Dementia, COPD, Vision and Eye Disorders

I first became a certified nurses aid when I was 21 years old and found it very satisfying. Working and honing my skills in every department of the hospital. Living near the hospital made it easy for me to be available to work overtime, during crisis, snow storms, and double shifts if the hospital was ever short staffed. So satisfying that when Medical Assistant became the next medical position in Northwestern Memorial Hospital outpatient facility I jumped at the chance to become the first. Passing with flying colors I was now armed and ready to provide a level of care I knew I was capable. Able to provide excellent patient care as well as bringing the knowledge needed to run a fully staffed Doctor/Nurse office as a Medical Assistant and later a Unit Coordinator of Outpatient Services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on Chicago's prestigious Magnificent Mile. I could and did it all and I loved every second for over 15 years working with numerous Doctors working on the cutting edge of medicine,I was able to provide professionalism, selfless caring, fearlessness, empathy, exemplary patient care, excellent customer service, and secured client relations with a loving spirit and a great bedside manner. My greatest personal achievement was the raising of my son that was born Autistic. I knew it would be a challenge but he and I prevailed. He is living & working on his own since he was 21 years. Never drugs, jail, jobless, or homeless. He strives to excel in any situation. I am proud. He lives independently working a job since the day he left home on his own. Working a position for over 15 years he continues to make me proud. I am a woman, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a caregiver, a volunteer, a teacher, a professional home Designer, a traveler, a homemaker, a companion, a cancer survivor, and a friend. I love what I do & I do it well.

Skills & Certifications: Cancer Recovery, Hospice Care, Medical Assistant (MA), Orthopedic Care, Post Surgery Recovery, HIV/AIDS
