I spent some time caring for elderly women while in High School. It was during this time that I realized my passion for helping others. I thought that psychology would be the correct path for me, however I did not feel the same gratification as when I was helping those who could no longer care for themselves. Sixteen years ago, a friend of mine (that was a Certified Nurses Aide), recommended I might find the same fulfillment as she did in that field. I applied for hands on training at Briarcliff Pavilion where I learned the basics of becoming a Certified Caregiver. Since that time I have strived to help people fulfill their quality of life and provide support to their family and friends.

Hi families! I am Kayla, currently a nursing Major at Waynesburg. Through my technical school I was able to receive my CNA license, we did our clinical in a nursing home and I loved it. I love to listen to, talk to, help and just be around the people that need me the most. Through this program I was also votes on by staff, my grades and motivation to be the nursing assist student of the year and senior of the year. I am forever grateful for that opportunity.
