As a small girl, I always wanted to help the elderly and anyone less fortunate than me.I was raised by 2 very loving, church going parents. The most important thing I love about being a caregiver is the gratification of knowing that I am appreciated in my responsibilities. A personal achievement that I am very proud of is doing the smallest things to get that gratitude.

Hello all, I became a caregiver 5 years ago when my grandparents were diagnosed with terminal cancer, back-to-back I quit my job, moved into their house and took care of them day in and out until they both eventually passed away at which time I realized I found my calling. I absolutely adore my career and I don't believe I could ever enjoy anything other than this! I have learned so much in these short 5 years of Care-giving, from being able to tell if a non-verbal person is in some sort of distress to how to help a friend cope with being diagnosed with a terminal illness and so much more in between. I've had the best years of my life helping people make the most out of the time they have left here, with us! I am a wonderful care-giver, who wakes up everyday eager to go to work to see the friends I have made and am always so excited to help people live happily and comfortably. I am so proud of the person I've become because every person I've ever taken care of has molded me into who I am today and they've impacted me in ways I could never describe, I'm a better person everyday because of my job. I will always do for the elderly because they deserve only the best care possible!
