I have been a caregiver for 20 years, I got into this work just trying to help out a friend and I enjoyed it so much that I never stopped doing it! I have found it to be very rewarding, it feels good to be there for others and have the ability to make positive difference in their life. I think we all deserve to have someone there to help us when we need it, we all deserve kindness, compassion, empathy, patience, and understanding. I very much enjoy providing others with all of these. I have experience, and am comfortable with a wide range of medical conditions, and am able to provide basic assistance and reminders all the way up to complete physical assistance with all needs. I work well with dementia/Alzheimer's residents, am very familiar with diabetic needs, comfortable with assisting with transfers and mobility (and always do so with safety in mind), experience with catheter and ostomy/stoma, tube feeding, hoyer and sit to stand lifts, and much more. I always try to anticipate the needs of my residents and make sure they are met in a timely manner. I enjoy getting to know them, and doing little things that I know will brighten their day. I truly love what I do and try to do everything I can to help enhance their quality of life and maintain a sense of independence. I am extremely dependable and punctual, have a strong work ethic, carry myself with integrity, and consider myself to have high morals, ethics, and standards. I am able to follow directions, do things the way I'm asked to and not just the way I would like to do them, and strongly believe in doing the job I'm being paid to do. I have received full vaccination for COVID-19.

Caring with Love and compassion will always be my goal in this field. Since I was a little girl I helped take care of my great grandmother. Fast forward to 1990, I knew I wanted to be of help and I made it to CNA school to get Certified! I started w/ Nursing/ Rehab in California and finally moved back to Hawaii to be closer to family. There I started helping out w/ taking care of Family and eventually started working for Agencies. One thing I know w/ having to work both Facilities & Homes, it's both rewarding. Difference is Time & Quality of Care! Facility definitely needing to manage Time/ Quality for each patients. Home Care is best for Patient.
