I am a natural nurturing person. I I decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor. I had a grandmother that suffered from Alzheimer's disease for 13 years. Majority of the time that she was sick I cared for her. I always knew I needed to get into the health field because I saw how important it is to have a support system. When you have someone in your family who can no longer take care of themselves it seems to have a ripple effect with everyone surrounding them. At some point we could no longer take care of my grandmother in the house so we had to hire a home health aide and in doing so I really grew to appreciate the nature of the job. You become an extended family member you grow great bonds with your clients or patients and their familes. I love being an aide.

Sweet Home Personal Care may include assistance with the activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship and respite, Sweet Home Personal Care attendants are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards. Sweet Home Personal Care works diligently to encourage residents to work with staff on daily living skills to obtain new skills with the hope of building and maintaining their independence.

I've been caregiving for actually awhile I have a nephew that had brain and spinal cancer and I cared for him he had a feeding tube a tube to drain fluid of the brain around the clock meds andchemo it was really challenging but we made it by the grace of God. To sum it all up having to get him better just made me realize that there's people everyday that needs someone to just care and give there time

I always have love helping people I believe that was my calling in life.when I was 5 my uncle had asked me what I wanted to b when I grew up I said I wanted to go in the nursing field .So i started out babysitting when I was 13 yrs old n then in high school I took up Certified nursing assistant n I loved it so I been doing nursing assistant for over 30 yrs I love to see the smile on there face or the sparkle in there eyes when they knows somebody cares enough to help them feel there tasked that they can't do.Thanks Denise
