I am compassionate, caring, and understanding. I am very outgoing and can hold a conversation, but I also know when to just sit and be a companion. I enjoy providing care for those who cannot care for themselves and I take pride in the fact that I have the ability to do so. I care for others as I would want others to care for a member of my family. What attracted me to being a caregiver was when my mother wasn't able to care for herself, (which ironically gives me most of the expertise I have in caregiving). My mother had a motorcycle accident in 2012 which inabled her from most daily activity. On top of that she developed many medical ailments (cataracts, diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, incontinence, etc.). I cared for her until her passing in February of 2020. I enjoy the personal familiarity of caring for someone in their home environment. Being able to get to know them and their family on a personal level. Although it can be heartbreaking at times, it also brings a warmth and special bond and I believe that ecah bond is a personal achievement and those are all things that I am proud of.

Love taking care of senior

I have been a nurse for over 25 yrs and absolutely love being a caregiver. I have experience with patients from all age ranges and have managed many different medical conditions in various healthcare settings. My most enjoyment and satisfaction of being a caregiver comes from being able to spend time with my patients not only to just administer a medication, or perform a treatment, but to truly get to know my patient as a whole person. If there is something I can do to improve my patient's quality of life, or make things a bit easier for them, or bring a smile to their face, then that is what I want to do.

I am currently a caregiver, having the job doesn't change how I feel about taking care of people. What I do, I do out of love and the kindess of my heart. I started out just doing private care for family members, now that I have been working for this company I now know even more how to care for peoples needs. I have patience, I have no choice because at home I'm a single mom of 5 children. I just love taking care of people in general. I go above and beyond for my clients.
