Ive been a CNA for 20 yrs, received my license in North Carolina in 2001 and in Virginia in 2009. I believe the most important thing that makes me a great CNAs is patience and understanding. The reason why I became a CNA is I find joy in the elderly. They are knowledgeable, they make you laugh,and you can learn alot from them. I get great joy in seeing the smiles on their faces because they're pleased with me.

I feel like there are a lot of great caregivers out in the world but I feel like I stand out more so than others because I would treat my resident as if it was one of my own family members and provide the proper care PRN. I am also CNA certified. I became a care giver because I realized people are busy and they may not have the time to care for a loved one due to a lot of different things going on in their life and I can provide the best patient care.
