Hello my name is Charlotte and I have been a caregiver for 6 years. I love working with the elderly it's a passion for me. It's a lot that the older generation know that I don't know and I'm willing to leaning.

Being a lifelong volunteer, I am currently looking to devote myself to caring for persons in need in a professional capacity using my volunteer and professional experience and expertise. My role in caring for others includes: I was a certified hospice volunteer for seven years with the Religious Sisters of Charity of the Roman Catholic Church and other Not-For-Profit hospices and the care of family members who were wheelchair-bound and an Alzheimer patient. Hospice responsibilities included; companionship, emotional support for patients and their families, transportation to and from medical appointments, the physical care of non-ambulatory patients, organizing family events, and ensuring medications were taken properly, routine household chores - including light cleaning and cooking, etc. I have held certifications in; First Aid, CPR, defibrillation, certification in caring for persons with blood-borne pathogens, firefighting, slip trips and fall prevention, HAZMAT, etc. I was the caretaker for both my mother and father in their later years. My mother was confined to a bed and wheelchair following a stroke until her death. My father suffered from dementia until he passed away. My duties included emotional support, the running of the household, supervising household repairs, cooking, transportation of wheelchair-bound persons, scheduling of medical and other appointments. The coordination and oversight of medical care with health care providers for both parents and other similar duties were assumed by me as my parents' health declined. It's a way to give back, when you see the smile on the face of your client and their family it's priceless. Because I hold myself to a high standard. I will be happy to help you with any of your needs from light housekeeping, personal care, companionship, respite care.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping those in need and if I was in a position where I needed help I would want someone to help me.I believe you should do unto others as you want others to do unto you.

I am compassionate and understanding. I enjoy helping people feel better about life and their everyday struggles. I choose this career because of my nurturing nature and eagerness to assist others. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is the knowledge of how my presence made someone else's life a little easier if only for a moment. My proudest personal accomplishment is my move down here to Alabama after dealing with something very traumatic.

Greetings! I'm Sheila, I've been in the healthcare field going on 9yrs now. I've had many experiences from a home health to hospitals, to assisted living, long-term care, physical therapy and etc. I gain my passion of becoming a CNA through the love that I have to care for others. It's my drive and dedication that keeps me lifted daily. Never in a million years did I think my role of being a CNA would take place once upon a time in my life with my own family member. A year ago my sister was in a tragic accident which left her paralyzed and in the care of both me and my mom. Although I already had passion and love for what I do, that gave me even more strength and courage being as good as I was. August of 2022, she gained her wings and it's a moment I'll never forget. It gives me the mindset to strive and continue pushing myself daily for better. I want to make a difference someday inside the healthcare field and my goal is to do just that. I'm currently a online graduate student pursuing my Masters in Healthcare Management. Upon graduation I will continue my career as a CNA as well as gain a higher position inside the healthcare field. Being in this position, you understand what it feels like, what it takes and how strong you truly have to be caring for others and that is something I truly don't ever see myself pulling away from. Being able to have such an impact on those around you who need your help gives great satisfaction and keeps you going. Healthcare isn't just a a career it's definitely a CALLING . I enjoy being in the healthcare field and I plan on furthering my education in healthcare . I've been a CNA for 5/6 years and currently in school to receive my medical assistant certification it's a great feeling doing what I do & I definitely enjoy it .
