1. i became a caregiver after my mother was diagnosed with throat cancer, and dementia i was the only one that could take of her, and after she passed away i was touched and decided to help others, with similar or any other condition

4. i am a student at Santa Rosa junior college currently pursing nursing i am focusing on becoming an RN, first and then i will further my education to being a pediatrician. i love sports, socializing and reading books, i am very responsible and organized. i like being in school when i am not working or at the park. i am considered a leader by many because i am very good in time management and because of my confidence in speaking in public. i love being around elderly people because, they always make me feel comfortable. i have been work as a caregiver for almost four years now. I feel like I am caring, loving and patient individual, I like to care for others that need care, I have an hear to listen when someone needs someone to talk to, I don't mind helping others, it's a part of my trait. I once was going to school for nursing, but didn't finish, so I worked in the acute hospital and convalescent home, plus in-home care for quite a while. I love caring for the sick and disable. I like to try and help and encourage others to get better and not to quit. I saw a friend of mine hold on after she was diagnosed with breast cancer, when the doctor's had given up on her, that I was there to encourage her to not give up and she lived a healthy life for a little of two more years, when the the breast cancer attacked her again, and she was tired and gave up and died. I am a Certified Medical Assistant who is extremely compassionate, friendly and outgoing. I have over ten years of experience as an In-Home Senior Caregiver with home care agencies as well as privately. My experience includes care planning, medication management and reminders, incontinence care, safe transfer assistance, meal planning and preparation, and much more. I am proficient in communications(even with clients resistant to care), time management, and assistance with Physical and Occupational Therapies. Extensive experience with Alzheimer's and Dimentia, Renal patients, Hospice, MS, Home Health, special diets, etc. I have Current CPR Certification, knowledge of Health, Safety and Professional Standards, Strong References, and a passion for Helping others to enjoy life to the fullest capacity. Hourly rates are negotiable and dependent on services needed.
