I've been a care giver for about 10 years now ever since I moved here to help my grandmother after her bypass heart surgery. Taking care of her definitely sparked something in me and I knew that I was meant for the medical field. Since then I've worked with about 100 families from private care to agencies &I also nursing home settings . I have taken care of many people with conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer's, cancer , stroke, arthritis. Etc. I have also done companion services & light housekeeping &a cooking . I am comfortable with pets and clients who smoke, though Not a smoker myself. I am available to work around my perdiem schedule at Marian hospital in Santa Maria &I I am available most nights .

I have worked as a CNA ( certified nurse assistant) in Med-surg, Peds, ICU, Labor and Delivery, ER, Oncology and Telemetry. I became a caregiver first to my grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's it's a very sad disease to watch. But we wanted what time she did have to be as good for her as possible. Older people have always had my respect. I've also completed the training available to me pertaining to Care Taking..Ive also had a background check and plenty of references.
