First and foremost I love my job, I love making a difference in people's lives Secondly I'm a mother who took care of two sweet babies by myself, so since the people we support some times need tenderness, I have all the skills to handle them with care and love Thirdly , I'm very calm and patient person, most of the patients we give care for need to be handled patiently especially those with dementia. And some patients are get problems with adjusting to new care givers in their homes, so me being a professional care giver I have the capacity to fit in and make sure they get comfortable with me.

I have ALWAYS been a customer service focused person. I wanted to make a change that fulfilled my heart. The personal achievement that I am most proud of is that in the last year I have gotten my dad into the best mental, nutritional health that he has been in in the last 30 years.

I make sure the safety of the clients by clearing the pathway to avoid falling, i make sure to encourage client to apply all the doctors mandated like taking fluids or measure the fluid intake, to re-position client every 2 hrs to avoid bedsore, take vital signs, I do light housekeeping, laundry, prepare meals and medication, groceries and drive clients to appointments..Working with elderly or those who need care is my passion its like am at home with my family., its fulfilling to see the progress or improvement with the way i care, I work with love and compassion. Being a Caregiver is really natural for me. I have 3 years of CNA work experience . That was my first job after H.S and loved it! I did take a Medical Assistant course after that and have been in that position for about 15 years. I missed being able to have a more closer relationship with people and being a Caregiver I get to do just that and more.
