I first became a Caregiver through our county in-home care services program. I was able to build wonderful relationships with several of my clients and remain with them for many years. When my father was diagnosed with Parkinson's I began caring for him. At first it was simply checking in on him once or twice a week, then spending weekends with him, and eventually sharing his full-time care with my daughter. It was always my father's desire to remain in his home of 64 years. In August my father passed away. I am proud of the fact that I was able to give my father what he wanted most at the end of his life.
