My mother had Lupus for as long as I could remember in my childhood. I would often accompany her to doctor appointments, dialysis treatments, and when I was allowed I would stay overnight with her at the hospital (which was a lot). I would help bathe her and basically just spend time with her, we had so much fun telling stories together. When she was in the hospital I was the little mom at home shopping for meals, cleaning and taking care of the house while going to school, this was my life between the ages of 7-15 years. My mother passed away when I was 15 but I was left with amazing memories of caring for my mom in her most vulnerable time of her life, what an honor. My most relative paid-experience was being a nanny to young children in Oakland, as well as being a general personal assistant helping people to organize their personal life and business.
