What attracted me too being a caregiver was when I would take care of my grandmother I loved being around her and her friends I love the things I learned from her I was spending a lot of time helping my grandmother I thought about working with the elderly when I started working in a retirement home I feel in love with all the residents and what I was doing it's like I was working but then i enjoyed was I was doing so much it felt like I was at home taking care over my grandma I think what makes me a good caregiver is I always treat my residents like if they were my grandma I know they won't like what she likes of course so I learn to build trust first and then a connection with them I also ALWAYS KEEP IN MY MIND THEY ARENT KIDS ! An achievement that I am proud of is while working in the healthcare I got my Qmap and cpr I took a class on dementia too learn and connect more with people that have. I love working with elderly it is a passion I want to do for the rest of my life
