I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping other people. I really like listening to older people genealogy and their stories. I try to make sure and give them as much independence as I seem is right for their situation. I have always tried to make sure if they have family and friends to bring that up and help them remember the positive things that have happened in their life. I always want to do what the family wants and take care of their loved one how they would like it done.

I have always enjoyed helping people in my community. It gives me great satisfaction and happiness to know that I am able to help someone who is in need. I believe every individual deserves to live life to its fullest, therefore I want to help others when they are unable to care for themselves so they may continue to have the best quality of life as possible. My greatest personal achievement in my opinion was giving birth to my four amazing children and I am really enjoying watching them all grow into beautiful, caring and intelligent young adults. My grandfather died of ALS, and it broke my heart to watch him go from running his company and church to basically in the end, being completely incapacitated, but although he couldn't move a muscle to speak or care for himself, his mind was completely cognizant of all that was happening. I consider myself to be a very hard worker and very responsible. I'm bilingual so I speak both English and Spanish very fluent . My grandma is the main reason that I decided to be a caregiver. When she was really sick I was always there to help her with anything she really couldn't do on her own and I loved it and now I like working as a caregiver because you get to meet a lot of new people and see the smile on their face when you help them with something or it feels really good when they get to trust you and start telling you stories about their life. I became a caregiver when my cousin and I were very young, as she needed a lot of help and her mother was always very busy.
