My name is Leslie and I have been an active LPN for the past 52 years. The past 35 years I have been working with geriatrics. This past January 29, 2023, I finally retired from the full time work force. Before I graduated from high school one of my jobs was a companion for an elderly woman in our neighborhood. I was also a candystriper in our local hospital. I have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren whom I can't get enough of! My husband of 34 years had a stroke 3 years ago this November and I am his caregiver.

I've always known that I have a purpose in life and that is to help people .I am very compassionate empathetic kind . I can see and understand situations and feelings threw their eyes. I have several years professional experience and including personal experiences in health care. I understand the importance of getting the right person to take care of loved ones and help assist. I have always had a strong relationship with my Grandmother, from as young as I can remember. I watched her as she aged over the years, and became unable to do certain things for herself. It was instinctual for me to just do them for her. It made her feel better knowing she had me there for her and it made me feel good knowing I could help her and make her life easier. I still feel that way today when I am able to help someone out with things they cannot do for themselves. I always think, if I wasn't around for my own Grandmother, I would have wanted a compassionate individual, like myself, to care for her. I take pride in my natural ability to care for the wellbeing of others with the utmost respect. I truly enjoy helping people. That is why I became a certified caregiver.

Hello, My name is Tiffany and I am a resident of Ocean Pines, MD. I have been a caretaker for over 20 years but mainly for younger children as I was the owner of a daycare and cared for children from the age of infants -5 year olds. I recently moved to MD to help care for my Dad after he suffered a stroke about a year ago. He has memory loss, needs assistance with walking with his walker, help preparing meals, administering his insulin, and assisting in daily tasks such as brushing his teeth, combing his hair, etc. I help sit with my Dad when my Mom needs a day to herself or has appointments of her own. I also attend most doctors appointments with my Dad since it can be a lot for my Mom to do alone. I also have some experience with Parkinson's Disease. I helped care for my father in-law who suffered from this disease. He would stay with us for weekends to help give his full time caretaker a break. Lastly, I have experience with cancer patients. In 2021 my husband was diagnosed with cancer. I was his sole caretaker while he went through 2 major surgeries followed by chemotherapy. I was not only caring for him but I was also caring for our two small children ages 4 and 5 years old. I sat with my husband during each of his chemotherapy appointments and I made sure he was getting rest, staying hydrated and eating while going through his treatments. Thankfully my husband is now cancer free and doing amazing! I am able to assist with daily activities such as meal prep, light house cleaning, laundry, pet care, playing games, working on puzzles, and most importantly to be a companion for your loved one. I know how lonely it can be when you are caring for your loved one and I would love the opportunity to lend a helping hand and give families the breaks they deserve.

I'm a great caregiver because I just love the elderly for one for two I just love taking care of people and helping people feel better I take care of my mother for the last past 4 years so I always thought to myself if it was your mother or father or loved one how would you want them to be treated and that's the way that I treat my patients I love them as if they were my family member I enjoy being part of my pt family and building a relationship with them loving and caring always working with a smile I'm dependable trustworthy and love meeting new people

I am a great caregiver because my job is not just a job I care for my clients like family I put my heart into my care. Don't. Take that the wrong way I stay in my lane I just love my clients I always get great clients, I also became a caregiver because my grandmother got sick my family wanted to put her in a nursing home I refused to let that happen I would go to school and come home and take care of my grandmother at age 16 I just have a gift for caring for the elderly . We all will be old one day so just treat them the way u want someone to treat u when you are older.
