I document everything for families and my employer to know what is going on. I love being a caregiver. I get close to my patients. I've even sat with my own family. I'm in school for my RN degree. My life goal on day is to be a doctor and have my own practice.

I'm a compassionate, patient, honest, and energetic caregiver. I became a caregiver in middle school when my father had a massive stroke, which paralyzed his right half of his body. I had to learn proper body mechanics, grooming, learning and sorting medications and assisting with daily living. As I got older I started working with The State of Florida. I really enjoy helping people because one day I'll be in the same situation and would want a compassionate caregiver to take care of me. I also really enjoy making people smile everyday it makes me happy knowing that I make people feel positive when I am around them. I have been in the healthcare field for over 4 years . I've always had a giving personality. I love caring for individuals. I mostly enjoy jobs where I could have 1 on 1 interactions with others. Having patience and being compassionate are my two top skills. This is a setting that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations. My communications skills are awesome. My oldest child is 30 years old, I also have a 21 year old, and a 13 year old. My children are my greatest achievements and they are where my caregiver "carrier" truly started. They taught me a great deal of patience, they taught me to be reliable and flexible. All are things that I use in my caregiver profession still today. Through them I have learned I love helping people. When I have a client they become a second family to me. For me seeing the smile of a family member I have helped leaves me with a worm fuzzy feeling that cant be explained.
