I've been a CNA and a home health aide for over 7 years with a lot of experience ranging from caring for people with dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke etc to hospice. I'm also experienced in meeting their activities of daily living like shaving, and grooming, shower, dressing, helping with feeding, driving them to and from doctors offices for appointments etc

I am very patient, I love to sit and socialize with the patients. I love to hear about their back ground and their religion and how they grew up. I am good under pressure. I am caring. I am on time.

I am highly compassionate, I'm a people person and I love making a difference in someone's life. I love putting a smile on their faces. What attracted me was my grandmother. I took care of her during her last days on earth and made it memorable for the both of us. What I enjoyed most is making a difference in someone's day! I'm Audrey Foster. Im soon to be 19 years old. I have my CNA certificate and have worked in multiple care facilities as well as working in at home care. I became a caregiver because I l like nothing more than to help anyone and everyone out in anyway, shape, or form. To make a person smile and be happy is the greatest feeling to me, knowing that I made someones day/night helps me to sleep good with a smile on my face as well. I use to be so scared to even step one into a nursing home that was up until I got my first job at 17 being a dietary aid in the kitchen at a nursing home, and now I wouldn't change my career for anything. I can actually say that I am really good with families and getting along with anyone and everyone. The families that are involved in their loved ones life is also a big part of this type of career so making the family happy as well is very important to me. I have been in the healthcare field of work the 8 years I have worked and mainly just worked in the nursing home environment but I have also worked as a Direct Support Professional for an in home care facility. I would not go back and change my job and or wouldn't change the type of work I do for anything. Happiness is home made and care comes from the heart.

I am a great caregiver because, I always sacrifice and always put people's needs ahead of me than my own. I became a caregiver when my own lovely father became ill of stroke, diabetic, hypertension, urine retention and cardiovascular disease; that was when I understood how important it is to be a caregiver. And afterwards, I always go out there to give a hand for families who needs help but can not afford hiring a private aide or through an agency. I receive the gift of kindness and longsuffering for such peoples. I have the heart of being patient, I am very humble and respectful due to where I was brought up . My personal achievement I am proud of is I have develop that kind of heart to towards all people through being a caregiver. Again whenever I go to peoples homes, everything negative changes to positive because I am a positive spirited person and I have the I can do spirit. I am a life changer inwardly and outwardly. I am very proud of that. I am always happy, even in times of difficult I put on smiles I don't allow the darkness to rule my light. I am not a pet person. I am a Christian, down to earth, very neat and clean, i don't smoke or drink, i drive, I cook very well, clean, wash, well experience in stroke, broken hip, diabetics, Parkinson, cancer, companionship.
