I realized I wanted to get into the healthcare field right after my grandpa died. I remember how I used to try and help my grandma take care of him all the time. I wish we could've kept him at home but it was too hard on my grandma. I wish back then we knew about home health care services.
My favorite thing about what I do is how much time I get to spend with my clients. Since its all one-on-one I get to enjoy their company more so than I would if I were working in a facility taking care of 15 patients rather than 1. Some of their stories are so interesting, especially the ones when they talk about history and being in wars. There is just so much to learn from the elderly.
