30 years old. I've been a CNA since 2012. I was a traveling CNA 3 years until I had my daughter. I've worked in nursing homes, home health, hospitals, and hospice.

I started work in a nurseing home at 15 years old worked in laundry and housekeeping for a year and a half then i went to cna classes at st.athonys care center in rock island il. I worked up to a cna intil 2015 when i went private care . now im a personal care assistance / caregiver . im 46 years old i live in aledo il, i have two sons one is 26 years old and onther one is 23 years old .i enjoy being with clients i have respect, honest, truthful, encouragement, love , caring, protection, im looking for monday thru friday day shift hours .i have 34 years of experience. I work with people daily who are struggling w mobility, safety awareness, and their independce with ADL tasks. I am involved in up to 12 peoples daily care and enjoy helping others .

My grandparents had owned a boarding home, when I was in my early teens and I would go over and help where I could. There was one lady that sat by the door and would grab you when you would go by. For the longest time she always scared me, but I soon realized that all she wanted was someone to talk to. And from that time on I knew that most of our elderly clients just wanted someone to take the time to listen to the. I started working in a nursing home in 1984 in Missouri and knew that I like my job. When I'm at work I'm there for the resident, and I do want their want not what I want. So many residents have family but don't come to see them but when that resident dies the family is the first one's there to see what they can get. We become family because we are there at least 5days a week. I enjoy working with the elderly and yes I get attached even tho your told not to. Our elderly can tell you a lot if only you take the time to listen.
