I am a mother of 3 children (& multiple God children) and a grandma of 6 (as well as multiple God Grandkids!) I always have a house full of kids! I worked in the healthcare field for years. I love working with children as well as elderly and disabled people. I have worked in Nursing homes, group homes, hospitals, and State facilities taking care of children, elderly people as well Developmentally Disabled and Mentally I'll individuals. I am a people person and love to work with people! I am very dependable and I am a very fast learner. I listen to the needs and concerns of the individual(s) that I am taking care of (working for) and I try to take care of everything asked of me. I address concerns immediately and try to resolve them (or ease them) to the best of my ability! I love to have fun. I am a home body, I don't party. I am excellent with children and children seem to really like me. I can cook, clean, give medicine if needed, swim, go to the park, take children to extra curricular activities, give baths, and put to bed with a bedtime story if that's what needed. I've done it all!!

My names Melissa, I have 8 years of experience. I work hard at everything I do. I'm a very compassionate and caring person. I also help take care of my father who is a veteran. The last 6 years I have been a caregiver to a disabled man thru DORS. Duties included medication reminders, cooking, cleaning, bathroom help, laundry, running errands, grocery shop, appointment reminders, and helping with bill paying. Before that, I took care a another disabled elderly man until his family put him in Hospice. I like being a caregiver because I love helping people, I like learning about others lives and history. Taking care of others has always been my passion. I am available Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and I do have my own car.

I feel like there is a purpose for everyone in this world, and in my life, one of my purposes is to care for people in need no matter what it may be. I love being told I am a great worker or being told I make a difference in someone's life. One personal achievement I am proud of is graduating CNA class, and going on to further my career in the medical field. I am a hard worker. When there is something that needs to be done, I will gladly do it. I am a great listener and I have a big heart so I love hearing stories about others lives.
