My name is Adrianna but you can call me Addy if that's easier to remember. I am 21 years old and live in Spottsville, KY. I'm a very calm and collected person and I enjoy helping others. I was first drawn to being a caregiver when my grandmother was ill and I had to step up and care for her. Being a caregiver isn't easy and back then I didn't get a break. Now that I've become a professional caregiver I take pride in allowing families to have a break from being in that role as well as giving my client someone new to talk to and trust. The most rewarding part about being a caregiver for me is being one of the people aiding in someone's recovery, or knowing I have been part in making someone's last month's bearable and enjoyable. And if I am able to do that I count that as the biggest achievement I could ever manage.

I have about 6 years of private duty care experience. I have found that sadly our world doesn't have enough folks that are able to kindly give time to those in need and therefo9re have found my own purpose in life. If I can change a bad day to an acceptable day for just one person then I am rewarded with the feeling it gives me. That is much gratitude for the ability to do so and also the opportunity that person gave me and I am forever greatful for that.

I am a very compassionate and caring person. I get along very well with people older than me. I currently work at an assisted living facility and am loved by all of the residents. I enjoy listening to stories of the past. I started out as a medical assistant at an Ob/Gyn office which I worked at for about 10 years until I started a family. I then took over the care of my grandmother when she suffered a stroke and was not able to walk because I did not want her in a facility. I was later employed by a company in Florida to be the care taker of my mother who suffered from COPD until she passed in 2016. My greatest joy is seeing a smile on someones face. The most rewarding thing about being a caregiver is bringing joy to someone for one more day.

I started in high school when I became very involved with helping the students in our special needs program. After high school I continued to work with special needs clients at a facility and then when I moved I took care of them in their home. I did home health until I pursued my CNA license in January of 2019. I passed my test and have worked in nursing homes since. I love creating bonds with my residents and giving them the personalized care that they need.

I love what I do! I became a CNA at 19yrs. old, I was young and wanted to help people. I wasn't exactly sure what my requirements were at that time and was very nervous and shy. Lol.. But I guess me starting out in that frame of mind and wanting to prove myself and (not screw up of course).. My heart mended with the opportunity to really make a difference! Not only care for the residents but to make an impression on someone's day. Talk to them, ACTUALLY wash and shower them. Enjoy and make jokes with accidents that happen, let them realize they are still wanted and loved by people and that they r never forgotten.
