Hi my name is Rachelle I have been in the health care field for 35 years, I have worked home health. Nursing Homes, & Private Care, not to mention taking care of my mother to the end, I enjoy helping & caring for your loved one is something I take very seriously.

I'm a single mother of 2 teenagers. I have 10 years experience in home health work and medical assisting.

I am 57 years old mature, responsible and experienced caregiver from Bloomington.my background is in Elementary Education but in the last 10 years or more, I have worked as a Home Health aide in senior facilities and residential. My services can provide companionship, light house cleaning, meal prep, shopping, strands, take to appt. Personal care, and pet care if needed. My goal is to provide services to help a client live more independently in their own home environment and give the families peace and assurance that their loved one is in great hands. I am a people person, have a great sense of humor, intelligent, as well as common sense, and very outgoing. Great multi-gasket as well as great communicator. Dependable and rarely ever get sick! I grew up taking care of my mother, and since then I knew that giving care to others would be fulfilling. I enjoy getting to know patients and connect with them and a great supporter.

During my childhood years, caring for my elderly grandparents was a part of my everyday life. They had several health issues and were in and out of hospitals frequently. I was exposed to caregivers in many different settings. The impact that kind, compassionate and informative care-giving made all the difference to me and my family. At the age of 12, I knew nursing was what I wanted to do with my life. As I pursued nursing, I started out caring for patients in a nursing home as a nursing assistant. I loved this, as I got to care for clients, just like my grandparents. The opportunity to establish connections with clients week-to-week was special! After nursing school, I moved to caring for patients in a hospital setting as a Registered Nurse. The hospital experiences have given me a broad scope of skills, whether it is assisting patients with basic self-care needs, changing dressings, managing ventilators or providing education, being able to establish a rapport with patients and their family's is still one of the favorite parts of my job. I love being able to help people understand what is going on with their health and their treatment plan. Just as others demonstrated to my own family, I want each of my clients and their family members to feel safe, cared for and heard.

I became a CNA/caregiver/home health aide because I honestly believe in truly compassionate care for people in need whether is the geriatrics, pediatrics, or the mentally impaired or psych or a combination of all the above. I enjoy knowing that I have helped someone get through another day on this earth with their family and if they don't have any family at least they know someone was there for them when it was needed and proof that there are still nice, caring, and honest people out there.

I'm a happy, compassionate person. I want the best for my clients and will give them just that! I will be not only their Home Health Aide but also their best friend. Not only am I here to take of your loved ones but I'm here for you too!

I'm a fun and loving person. I take pride in what I do and do it to the best of my abilities. I enjoy helping others with everyday activities. This is more than a job to me, it's an opportunity to help where I can, meet new people and learn from others as well.

When I was younger I worked each summer at a Nursing home and loved it, now that I have a child raised and settled in life more I would love to get back into it...I have always been in retail or manufacturing jobs, now I would like to try something rewarding again.I do care for an ill family member now .
