Hi! My name is Kathie. I have been caregiving one way or another most of my life & I believe it is my calling. After my parents passed away ( my best friends), I became a Certified Nursing Assistant & began working in a nursing home, which included all levels of Care, such as Long Term Care, Short Term Care,Rehabilitation, Alzheimers, Independent & Assisted Living. I felt I had something special to offer to those in need of assistance, whether it be with a little help, or alot. I have been on both sides of what families are going through & know how important it is to find the best help possible. I am a great caregiver because I naturally have an urge to help others. I have always placed a priority on helping other people. I want to make the world a better place and I do it with one home care patient at a time. I can be counted on to be there. Those needing home care services need a reliable and dependable caregiver. Trustworthy. Most people who need home care services are in a vulnerable position. They are inviting someone into their home. I am trustworthy. Flexible. I am also prepared to go with the flow, being flexible, even if a rigid schedule isn’t being followed. I have the ability to establish trust with clients and garner a supportive connection. I am a specialist with organization and setting up system that allow my clients to live an uncluttered existence. I am also a phenomenal HEALTHY cook! As a lifelong education (with three college degrees), I think it is important, as feasible, to connect clients to current events and encourage activities or exposure which would stimulate their senses. I first became interested in caregiving ten years ago when my grandmother came to live with me after a stroke. I cared for her until she passed after which my grandfather developed cancer from which he ultimately passed. I learned from the experience so much and through it formed a lifelong commitment to caring for others through their life challenges.

I'm a great caregiver because I have years of experience and compassion for people who need help. Ive spent most of my life since being in high school taking care of people who can't do it on there own.Rather it's a small task or big task I'm here to fully assist to get the task done

I have been a nurse for almost 20 years. I became a nurse because I enjoy helping others. I have always had a special place in my heart for the elderly and throughout the years I've always seemed to gravitate in that direction. I've worked in skilled care doing IV therapy, wound care, and g tube feedings along with many other skilled duties to include administration of chemotherapy and IV pain medication. I also have a special place in my heart for disabled children and adults. I have an adult son with Angelman syndrome who now resides in a group home setting. I'm now wanting to branch out on my own. I want to give care to individuals on a 1 on 1 basis. I've also had experience doing palliative care as I once worked as a palliative care nurse.

I enjoy taking care of others and helping them with everyday needs. Seeing people smile brings me a lot of happiness. I have worked in nursing homes and on a acute rehab unit at community hospital. I am a very patience and caring person. I treat people as if i was taking care one of my own family members.

I became a caregiver because I love helping others and being able to make them smile knowing they have someone there to help. I took care of a special lady who meant the world to me for 4 years we had a great bond and I was there whenever she needed me. The best part about being a caregiver and seeing them smile and know I'm here to help with anything they need.
