I am very proud of raising my two teenage daughters as a single mother, while working multiple jobs. It was very difficult, but highly rewarding seeing them grow, and exhibiting the same work ethic and love I try to possess.

I became an LPN nurse because I love helping others. I am very compassionate. I think outside the box. I am a problem solver by nature. I am able to take charge of a situation if needed. I can strike a conversation with just about anyone. I was on the dean's list while taking classes. I live in the country and have a small hobby farm.

I have a good personality I show no judgment I think what makes me a good caregiver is that I really truly do care and my patience are going through enough obviously that at the end of the day and their happiness and they're once that's what matters I really enjoy, putting a smile on my patients face and not making them feel ashamed about anything and it's also important to make a good relationship with your patient as a caregiver as well.

I've been a nurses aide since I was 16 almost everyone in my family is either a nurses or in the health care field, I love what I do and have a blast helping others and making them feel loved and acknowledged. I love to smile and make others smile . My job means the most to me . I've achieved a lot as an aide but my happiest moments are making someone smile that hasn't in a long time .

I have been a caregiver for over 10 years and have found it to be the most rewarding and enjoyable position I've held. I very much enjoy connecting one on one with people and I get a great sense of happiness knowing that I am directly helping a person who needs my help. I have been described as extremely patient and calm, and I find that those traits greatly help my ability to be a good caregiver. When people begin to age and/or their health deteriorates, life generally moves at a slower pace for them. Their ability to move quickly and to think quickly declines and it is very important for caregivers to be patient with them. That is something that comes naturally for me. I have learned how to balance the tasks of offering the person my physical help, and my companionship. I recognize that companionship is a very important part of this job! As far as the physical help I offer to my clients (cleaning, meal prep, toileting, grocery shopping, etc...) I am not one to sit idle. There is always something to be done around a home and, rather than watch tv (unless that's what the client wants me to do now and then!) or play on my cell phone, I will happily do them. Growing up with a mother who always cooked meals from scratch, I learned a great deal about cooking. I love to cook and bake, and am always up for making good, healthy meals from scratch. Whether I'm assisting my clients while they work in the kitchen, or doing the bulk of the cooking myself, I am great in the kitchen and love to provide great food for my clients. I can offer very satisfied reference, whether they come from the families of past clients or from fellow caregivers I've worked beside in the past. I am flexible schedule-wise and am used to the flexibility that is necessary to work with a rotating team of caregivers.

I have a somewhat goofy personality, I like to joke around and sometimes be silly, but I'm very good with the elderly. I'm very kind and understanding about them not being able to do things on their own or that they may take a little longer. I don't rush them. And they tend to appreciate that. I decided to be a CNA in 2002 because I was tired of working as a waitress and needed a better paying job to support my children, but I also enjoy being around elderly people and talking to them, learning about their lives, what they did for a living, their families and I LOVE looking at their old pictures and helping them walk down memory lane. I think an achievement I'm proud of is paying 50,000 dollars cash for our house. My husband got a settlement and that's what we did with it. My PERSONAL achievement that I'm proud of is of course my children but also being able to survive the death of my 5 year old daughter and to be able to tell parents how important it is to keep medications locked up. There's a lot of things I'm proud of in my life, way too many to list here.
